Licensing Service

I had a user be refused connection due to not enough licenses being
available.

Upon checking the license manager, I seem to have plenty.

I resolved the problem by turning off the Licensing service, but can anyone
point me at some info about the licensing service ?

It does not work as expected. I always stop and disable it and keep track of
the licenses manually.

True, but it doesn't stop people connecting either.

Are we perhaps talking terminal services as opposed to the License Logging
Service??

Actually, no

It happens on Outlook 2002, accessing via MAPI and it does disallow
connection

It will stop people from connecting if they are in per server mode.
