LF: a program called TRID32

Renan

Hello,

I used to have a program called TRID32, which worked like the "file"
program in Linux, but I lost it and can't find it anymore.

I just remember that the author of the program was Italian.

Anybody knows where to find it?

Thanks!

Hi Renan,

I found several mentions of it as being a tool to discover file types.
I didn't find any actual links to the file itself. I used webferret to
do most of the searching for me.

Very good searching Doc.

I never had to search (this time). Just looked at my download log and found
I had downloaded it in Oct 2003 from that url. A quick check to see that
the link was still there ....

Have you or anyone else made a comparison between WebFerret and
Copernic Agent?

HI Franklin,

As far as I know, no person has made a direct one to one comparison of
features. I just took a look and I can gather the following from
evidence.

Both are Liteware. Agent is roughly 6 times bigger but may have a few
more features. Ferret has been downloaded over 4 million times at
Download.com and has a higher user rating. Agent may not have been
around as long but it has been downloaded over 1.4 million times.

I'm figuring it's a toss up. I'd advise anyone to try them both to see
which fits them better.

Have fun!
