Letter warning of virus ?

I have received an email stating that I may have sent a
virus W32/Dumaru.a@MM. Does anyone know anything about
this ??? I do not find anything on the site about it.

When I typed W32/Dumaru.a@MM into a search engine, it came up with
over a thousand sites, so information is readily available on that subject.
I'm sure you'll find all you want to know with just one such search.

It probably means someone has grabbed your email address off this news
server and is using it as the "from" address to send spam. I've been
getting them ever since my first post here. It's too late to undo anything,
but you can change your address to something like (e-mail address removed)
to prevent more spammers from getting your address from further posts you
make. That way, if someone needs to respond to you via email, they can
easily figure out to remove the NOSPAM portion of the address, but
auto-spamming software isn't smart enough yet.

Just for paranoia's sake, if you aren't running anti-virus, or haven't
updated your definitions lately, you can run an online virus scan from
Symantec or many of the other AV providers out there.

If somebody's computer has your email address in their file
and THEY get infected, it sends virus laden emails using
your email address. You may get "undeliverable" notices or
you may get these virus notices if the server is set to scan
and block email.

The best you can do is keep your system clean and keep your
email as private as possible,
