Let me move a Calendar item without sending an update

I'm trying out the Office 12 beta and when I try to move a Calendar item it
prompts me to either save my change and send an update, or to not save my
changes. When I say that I don't want to send an update (at least not yet)
it moves the Calendar item back to where it was which doesn't let me check
for conflicts etc. i want the itemt os tay where it was! This worked in
Office 10 and 11, you get prompted to either send an update or not to send a
update, there's no question as to whether you want to save the change or not.
Does anyone know if there's an option buried somewhere to return the old
functionality or was it removed?

Thanks for your time.

Don't use the suggestion feature on the web newsgroup interface for asking questions.

What you're seeing is new behavior in Outlook 2007 designed to prevent the problem scenario in which the organizer changed the meeting time and didn't tell everyone about it.

If you have a comment on that behavior, the best way to provide feedback is with the Send a Smile/Frown tool from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=A2E1F4E2-BC0F-4403-B09F-7A677D55F274. This tool will transmit your comments and a screenshot back to Microsoft.
