Less-expensive data recovery company?

I have an IBM 40Gb 120GXP that recently stopped working (won't spin
up). I'd like to recover the data, and have started looking around for
companies that do data recovery and started getting price quotes. Wow!
I'm reeling from sticker shock! Does anyone know of any reputable
data recovery company that can do a job like this for under $700?

It's too late now, and I'm not trying to be rude, but this NG is full
of tales of woe like this. For under $150, you can have a fully
automated backup; another $50-60 adds another level of protection.

True Image (www.acronis.com) and a second HD (internal or external)
will save you from this dilemma next time. A DVD burner will give a
second level of backup.
