I used to be able to highlight a word, phrase or even a programme then left
click it to get several options in the drop down menu, such as "look up on
merriam"
"look up on wikipedia" "search google", these options have disappeared,
anybody know how to get them back ?.

Perhaps you're asking about some feature in your browser? Maybe ask in
that group. This is the Windows XP group.

Some application, probably something kind of "Desktop Search" utility, added
those right-click "context menu" items. Perhaps you uninstalled that app?
Perhaps you can figure out what app it was and reinstall it?
