LED

hi

Is there such a thing as a splitter cable for the 2-pin HD LED on the
motherboard?

I bought a unit that shows temperature, fan speeds etc and it shows HD
activity and its got a HD led to put on the motherboard, which will mean
that will work but the light on the outside of computer will not if i unplug
it to put this component in.

Just wondering if theres a way to make both indicators work when the HD
works?

thanks

You would most likely have to make your own splitter cable.

Easiest way to do that I think is to by a Y cable for cooling fans. Then I'd
cut off the connectors for both of the LED's and solder/glue/tape them to the
Y splitter and plug that into the main board. Just make sure you get the
polarity right before you do any final gluing or soldering.

You will effectively be running two lights from the one power connector
then, and they might be a little dimmer than what your used to, but they
should both work.
