Leaving Switchboard table unlinked

I would like not to include the Switchboard Items table in
the backend database. I see I can kluge it via the linked
manager by changing its location back to the frontend
database, but it still shows up as linked (with the
arrow). Is there a way to unlink it? The database
splitter wouldn't work in the first place unless all
tables were available for splitting.

TIA

Laurel,

In the FrontEnd you can delete the switchboard table and it
will really just delete the link to it in the BackEnd. After
that, go to File/GetExternalData/Import and then browse to
your backend db. You will then have the option to choose
what objects to import. Select the Switchboard table and
finish and it will now be local, yet remain in the backend
for others to grab.

Click on the link in the frontend and hit delete. Then use File, Get
External Data, Import and locate it in the backend, and import it. Then you
can delete it in the backend.
