I set up Outlook to important email messages from a Web server account.
When it retrieves them, it deletes them from the server. How can I set
up Outlook to leave the messages on the server?

Another question: when Outlook downloads messages from the Web server,
it only imports from the Inbox, not from Sent Items. Is there a way to
get it to also import Sent Items?

Thanks.

In order to download e-mails that are in your Sent Items on the server, you
will need to shift them from the Sent items to the Inbox.

Your web interface should have some way of moving e-mails between folders.

Thanks - that's a great, simple idea.

Depends on your Outlook version. For Outlook 2002/2003, it's on the
Advanced tab of your account properties.

Outlook doesn't workload messages from a web server. It downloads them from
a POP server. Outlook can't access web servers for mail, except for WIndows
Live Mail. POP servers and clients don't have folder constructs. The only
folder visible to a POP client is the Inbox on the server. If you can
access the server via IMAP, however, that's another story. IMAP accounts
leave messages on the server by default, and do permit folder structures on
the server.
