LBD File

I can't open my database it says that its an unreconized format and I
have an LBD file with a lock on it....any suggestions appreciated.

You are corrupt!
Well, maybe not you, but your database is. If you have a backup, go get it.
If you don't, Why not?

It may or may not be possible to delete the ldb file. If you can, delete it
and try to open the database again. If you can, then try a compact and
repair. If you can't delete the ldb, try copying the mdb to a different name
and see what you can do with it.

The ldb file is created by an mdb when a user opens it. It is the file that
handles record locking for the mdb.

I have a backup from 3 days ago...I know, I know. So I'll use it. This
all happened when believe it or not when I was backing up to a CD! I
guess I should backup to the hard drive first, then to the CD!
