Layers

I have placed an image in a cell as a background, I have then produced a new
layer to go over this for text. The problem is on XP IE 6.0/7.0 everything is
fine but on 2000 IE 5.0 the text is over to the right. Is there anything I
can do in layers to make them compatible in these two browsers?

Cheers

Is the table 100% width, or fixed width with align="center"?

Is the layer's markup (code) actually within the table cell?

Can you show us the page?

Have you considered making the image the background of the table cell, and
adding the text to the cell?
