I've constructed layered menus that work ok in IE5.+ but
spacing looks wierd in Netscape. Does Netscape support
absolute positioning used in layers?
Thanks
S

Susan,

Not very well. It depends on the version of Netscape. Latest releases seem
to do a much better job, but one of the major problems with Netscape is that
pages render so differently from version to version. This is pretty
perplexing since you're really only dealing with two different rendering
engines, one in the earlier versions and a new one in the 6-7 versions.

It's an art and an acquired skill to support Netscape, but I can tell you
that many Web developers are simply deciding that the small market there is
simply not worth the effort.

Did you check the script you are using, to see which browsers it is

Hi Susan,
Netscape 4 and up supports layers(positioned divs) but NN4 can be hard to
code for. Can we see the offending page on the web?
