Layering Audio in Movie Maker

Is it possible to layer audio in Movie Maker. I want to lay in a video clip,
some music under, then i want to transition to a different video clip but
keep the audio from the first video clip AND the music under. Does this make
sense, and can anyone tell me how to do it?

Two things that may be what you are seeking...

1) In Windows Movie Maker....
To save only the audio track of a video clip...
drag the video to the "Audio/Music" track.
Then go to...File / Save Movie File / ect...ect......

This will result in a .wma audio file. Be sure
to drag the clip all the way to the left on the
timeline or you will have dead air at the
beginning.

Now you can re-import the .wma file and use
it like any other sound file.

2) If you wish to add a sound track in addition
to the sound included in the Video file and
a sound that's been added to the Audio/Music
track.

Save the project as a movie (.wmv or .avi).
Then you can re-import the saved movie file
and the Audio/Music track will be clear so
you can add another sound file.
