Launch an App via filename?? Please Help...

I want to lauch an application using only the filename. For example I call
"showdoc.pdf" and it automatically open the Adobe PDF Reader if installed
and displays the showdoc.pdf file.

If I use the shell command it needs to full path name of the EXE which I do
not know that.

Can anybody please help. Thank you in advance.

You can use the FollowHyperlink method of the Application Object:

Application.FollowHyperlink "C:\Documents\showdoc.pdf"

or you can use the ShellExecute API illustrated in
http://www.mvps.org/access/api/api0018.htm at "The Access Web"
