Latest security update for MDAC

I have several pc's that continue to want to install the
update for the security patch for MDAC. The installation
history of windows updates states that the install was
successful but still says there is a critical update to
install. The same MDAC security one. Any ideas

I, too, have the same problem - any ideas?

The patch is for MDAC 2.52, 2.53, 2.62, 2.70, 2.71 or 2.80 so if you want to
upgrade to one of those versions that should fix the problem for you.
Otherwise you will have to ignore the update until the fix is published.

I was having the same problem. I could not find any info
on the Microsoft site. So I downloaded MDAC 8.0, installed
it, then it asked me to install the Update again. I have
rebooted and have checked the update page and it states no
new updates necessary. I am not sure if this is the answer
but so far it is working for me. Good luck.
