Last Date function

I have a spreadsheet with a list of dates, All I need is some kind of
formula to calculate the last date entered in column E at the end. An
example is below:

A B C D E
01/11/07 03/11/07 03/11/07
02/11/07 03/11/07 04/11/07 04/11/07
- -
05/11/07 05/11/07

=LOOKUP(1E100,E:E)

Format as DATE
