Large Excel File

How can I find out why my file is so large? I tried the website listed on
some of the other postings, but there is no reference there. I have a file
that I used last year and for some reason this year it is twice as large.
I'm doing the exact same thing as last year: I have 3 tabs that are linked to
each other and I need to copy each of them 11 times so that I have 12 months.
This year when I get to October the file crashes.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Stephanie

Open the file and go to the VB Editor (alt-f11). Check the vba name of the
sheets. Most likely you have vba names like sheet11111, etc. These
ultimately get too long. Change the vba name by displaying the properties
dialog (F4) and typing in a new name. I believe this problem was fixed with
one of the service pack releases, so you may need to check for upgrades.

I checked the VB Editor and sheet names were sheet49, sheet50 etc...

I did however try copy and paste formulas for each of the months and that is
working - it's not pretty but at least the file is a lot smaller.

I to experienced this and found that if I copy and paste the row/s back with
just their values it appears to work ok.
