laptop to tv screen thru svideo? How

How do I view my laptop on my big screen tv through the svideo out of my
laptop? Ibm thinkpad 390E to Sony tv svideo in. thanks
 
Try this as I have just set up mine. Make sure TV is
connected via S-Video from laptop to your TV jacks or
scart connector.
Right click on desktop, go to properties, go to settings
and then click on advanced. Select Displays in the top
tabs. You should have a TV setup in here. Click on the TV
on off button and setup from there. You have options for
PAL, NTSC etc. Good luck
 
thanks for the reply. When I go to advanced it only shows me the laptop
monitor,noTV.What am I missing?
