I just got a Dell Latitude and every time I hook it up to my business network
it tears down my internet access. I can all 3 other computers hooked up and
no problems, then reconnect the ethernet and within 5 minutes we no longer
have internet access. I can get it back by restarting my modem and again
only have internet access for about 5min. Is there a setting that is
constantly pinging and taking down the modem?

posting the result of ipconfig /all may help.
