language selection

Whenever I click on a word or excel, Chinese input is selected and I have to
use ctrl+shift to make it to English. I am using Chinese Winxp. How can I
make it defaulted as English input. Thanks.

Open Control Panel --> Regional and language options TAB Languages .

Try here you will be able to set it what you want.

I checked it in the regional and language and found that it is English
already but still showing Chinese input when I first click word or excel.

It is Chinese by Default.
You can put a Chevvy emblem on the front of a Toyota, but
you are still driving a Toyota, period.

Nope. It used to work in the way as English by default in the Chinese
windows xp. But I re-installed the Chinese windows xp again and all the
sudden this problem occurs. So there is a way to do it. But I just forget.
And I need someone to help.
