Language Options Trouble...

Hi,

I selected English UK during the initial install of
Windows XP. Since then, I removed English UK and I now
only have English US. I now only want to use English
US. Everything seems to be fine while in Windows, but
when I try to login to Windows at the login screen, I
cannot use the "@" in the User name field. Instead, when
I press Shift + 2 I receive the quotes: " symbol.. Which
is part of the English UK layout. So, when i try to
login, I cannot use a kerberos login for my username. I
logged in with my local administrator account, but this
has an "@" in the password?? How come the user name
field cannot display the "@" symbol, but the password
field accepts it? Is there a way I can bring this back
to normal?

Inside the language settings, there is also a seeting for the Keyboard
language. It seems that it is still set for UK standards.

Hi,

If you selected English UK during setup, then the base driver set will
always be in that language, regardless of which language driver you set for
the keyboard (control panel/regional and language options/laguages
tab/details). The only way to resolve this, if changing the installed driver
does not help, may be to rerun setup, this time selecting US English. YOu
should do a repair installation if possible to preserve programs and
settings, see:
