LAN Problem after recovery

When I try to access the computer, which I had to
recently recover, from another computer on my home
network I receive an error "(computer name)is not
accessible. You might not have permission to use this
network resource. The network path was not found". I
also receive this message when I try to access other
computers from the one I recovered. Where can I check
permissions or how can I resolve this issue/ The computer
in question is the one that has the printer attached to
it - so right now I am unble to print from my other
networked computers.

After much time wasted I found what the problem was. I am
writing this so that it may benefit some other poor sole
with the same issue.

During the recovery several applications became corrupt -
and most had to be reinstalled - including Norton
Internet Security. Pay close attention to all the
firewall settings here. Under the firewall configuration
be sure that the home network settings include the
address range of you LAN. Also be sure that the advanced -
general rules allow permission to LAN and WAN traffic
(several settings).

I hope the time I spent on this will help someone - there
is no such thing as a non destructive recovery.
