lag in online internet games

I recently installed Windows XP on my system and every since then, I have had problems with games that I used to be able to play online without a problem. I have well over 300 megs of ram, my system is running @ 533 megahertz and I can't understand why XP won't allow me to play my games at ea.com. Can someone please help?

What games specifically and your connection details?

I have a cable connection. (roadrunner) when I play the games, they are
slow, they stick and basically run messed up. Can you help me?

Was it the Pogo games you're having trouble with or other EA titles,
Battlefield, MoH for example?

Have you got any firewalls running differently then before you upgraded to
Windows XP?

What was your previous OS? Windows XP is a a bit more heavier then other
Windows OS' so it could be lagging because of that, all depends on what game
you're trying to play.
