Labels - trim function

In Access 2000 I am using Label Wizard to print a sheet of labels. when
calling up the labels I enter a start and end date to filter the database and
then Access asks me to define TRIM. That should be a built in function. In
VBA I go to Tool References and in the list of checked of things in use is
the following 'MISSING: Message-Master Component 1.0.

I have another database using label wizard and it works fine & has 4
References. I have ths same 4 references plus some others in the non working
database.

I assume this item would define Trim for me. Where do I find Message-Master
Component 1.0 to load into Access?

You were so close.
That PC has a missing reference.
Open any module in Design view (or click Ctrl + G).
On the Tools menu, click References.
Click to clear the check box for the type library or object library
marked as "Missing:."

The above is most likely all you will need do.

An alternative to removing the reference is to restore the referenced
file to the path specified in the References dialog box. If the
referenced file is in a new location, clear the "Missing:" reference
and create a new reference to the file in its new folder.

See Microsoft KnowledgeBase articles:
283115 'ACC2002: References That You Must Set When You Work with
Microsoft Access'
Or for Access 97:
175484 'References to Set When Working With Microsoft Access' for
the correct ones needed,
and

how to reset a missing one.
