Kubi Collaborative Email App

Install Kubi, system hangs, email won't release from
Outbox, system performance degraded. Uninstall Kubi -
everything back to normal - all systems go, performance
enhanced. I find nothing about Microsoft support for
Kubi Software. Our Techy partner has his head in a
portion of his anatomy where it doesn't belong and
refuses to acknowledge Kubi as the problem. Anyone else
have problems with Kubi? Any fixes?
 
Hi - I don't even know what Kubi is, I confess. If their product is
repeatedly causing the problem, it sounds like it itself *is* the problem.
 
Thanks - I am in total agreement with you that Kubi "is"
the problem, but some self proclaimed techie gurus will
never admit they have made a mistake in selecting an
application for company wide use. What I am hoping for
is some vindication from other users, or Microsoft, that
yes indeed there have been problems, then I can get him
to dump the darn thing.

Kubi Software allows users to share documents,
discussions, contacts, events, and tasks in organized
team spaces without leaving Email. Kubi claims the app is
tightly integrated with both Microsoft Outlook and Lotus
Notes, which is pretty darn scary in itself, and that it
enables collaboration between Email users on different
platforms. My experience is that anything that touches
Outlook or Exchange is extremely complicated and requires
extensive development and testing cycles.
 
Show your manager what happens with the app installed/loaded. Then show him
that it's fixed when it's unloaded/uninstalled. Point is made. Take this as
high up the food chain as you need to.

It's up to the Kubi people to work on this, as you aren't having a problem
with an MS product per se...just with the interaction of a third party app.
