Kicked back to welcome screen

From the Welcome screen, when I click on my user icon, my settings will load briefly, my desktop will flash, and then I get kicked back to the Welcome screen and logged off

A few notes - I have recently installed McAfee Security Suite, removed a number of bugs, and re-installed XP Home. The machine was working great until yesterday when this began

I have the same problem. When I switch user it just returns me to th
welcome screen. I then have to restart to gain control. This starte
after installing McCafee virus scanning and firewall software
