Hi
I have a new pc ( Fujitsu Siemens ) running "Vista" and when I key in
letters one at a time as I am doing now, sometimes up to five appear on the
screen. This happens on emails.
Also the curser / pointer seems to wonder aroound the screen at intervals so
that when I go to delete an email, for instance, as I click on delete the
curser has altered its position and I delete the wrong email.
Any help or sugestions would be gratefully recieved.

Are you using a laptop with a touchpad? If so, go into its 'mouse' driver
settings in Control Panel, enable "Palm Check", and enable a setting
that disables cursor movement while typing.

Thanks for the reply.
I may have set this problem oout wrongly. It is infact two problems.
1/ When I key in letters sometimes two letters come up on screen instead of
the one I tapped in. [ as in the word 'out' above ] I have tried slowing
down the keyboard but it dosnt seem to cure the prob.
2/ The curser dosnt sometimes stay in the place I put it / leave it.
Instance ...After I have used the slide on the right of the page to bring
hidden emails into view, as I slide my finger across the pad to click onto
the newly revealed email the curser moves towards the selected email but
brings the slide down with it although the curser is well out of the way of
any slide activating area of the screen. Hope thats clear. (This fault also
affects other functions so its not just an email fault)

If you implemented the two touchpad settings I recommended,
and it made no difference, then I don't know what else you can do
as far as software/driver settings.
It sounds like a hardware problem. Contact the Fujitsu Siemens
users forum, to see if others have experienced this problem, and
what if any fixes that might be available.

Apoligies for the delay in getting back to you.
Thanks for the info re Fujitsu Siemans users forum. I hadnt realised there
was such a thing / place. As I write, I am in contact with their tech people
and await their recomendations.
