Keyboard shortcuts for absolute references

Is there a keyboard shortcut for selecting cells with
absolute references, let's say I'm using the MATCH
function and corral cells A5:A234. The only way I can
get this set to absolute references is to edit the
formula and manually add the dollar signs. It would be
cool if I could hold down control or alt or something
when I corral the cells to automatically get $A$5:$A$234.

Does anyone know a way to do this? Thanks.

Hi Karen!

Use the F4 button to cycle through the reference types.

A slight help might be to select the *entire* address(es) in the formula bar
and then hit F4.
That way *all* selected addresses will become absolute with one click of F4,
in one fell swoop !

Thanks to all. F4 indeed seems to work most of the time.

I still can't find a word about this trick in the Excel
Help. (I found a lot of other things F4 can do.) How
did you guys learn this trick?

Here's an extract from the Excel 2003 help

"Select the cell that contains the formula.
In the formula bar (formula bar: A bar at the top of the Excel window that
you use to enter or edit values or formulas in cells or charts. Displays the
constant value or formula stored in the active cell.) , select the reference
you want to change.
Press F4 to toggle through the combinations. The "Changes To" column
reflects how a reference type updates if a formula containing the reference
is copied two cells down and two cells to the right."
