Keyboard Shortcut?

You can make yourself one like this:

Right-click the desktop|New|Shortcut, use

%windir%\System32\cmd.exe /c rasdial Worlnet /d

for the location and anything you want for the name. (Assuming your
connection name is Worlnet.) Then right-click the shortcut and click
Properties. Enter your desired shortcut key and change 'Run' to minimized.

When I click this icon a DOS box pops up VERY briefly (I don't see any
writing in it), it disappears and I am still on-line.

Click Start, point to 'Connect to' and make sure what your connection is
named and substitute that for Worlnet in the location line. By your given
email, you're using worldnet, and it won't work if it's misspelled or the
connection is named something else. If that's not the problem, temporarily
change the /c to /k so that the 'DOS box' (command window) stays open so
that you can read any error messages and post back with whatever you see
there.

I tried substituting "AT&T Connection Service" for Worldnet as that was how
it was listed with no better results. No different results substituting the
k switch either (the DOS box did not stay open).

PS I really appreciate your efforts to solve this problem.

Experiment in a regular command prompt window first. Try just "rasdial /d". I created a shortcut with that as the target and it hangs up just fine. You can then modify the shortcut properties to run minimized so no window flashes.

Thank you very much - that did the trick.
