keyboard short cut for highlighting a field

is there a keyboard short cut or a way to create a shortcut to hightlight a
cell easily with a default or specific color.
 
As Dave Peterson points out in another message, this could be changed to do all
cells at once without the loop.

Sub color_it()
Selection.Interior.ColorIndex = 3 'red
End Sub
