Keyboard Repeat Rate

WinXP Professional on a Dell notebook. Afer un-docking,
using in a meeting, re-docking the keyboard repeat rate
is dog-slow. Settings in Contol Panel show max speed - I
have to just click on the slider and hit apply and back
to full speed. Happens every time. Any ideas?

Could be a corrupted hardware profile. Seen that a lot with Dell portables.

Shut down, un-dock the machine, reboot, right click My computer,
Properties, Hardware, Hardware profiles, delete the Docked profile. Shut
down, re-dock the machine, start up. It will create a new docked
hardware profile. See if that fixes the trouble.

WinXP on a Dell Desktop. The repeat rate is slow. Have shut down and
re-booted the computer and gone into the control panel, clicked on top speed
and clicked on aply. Did not solve the problem. Does the un-dock procedure
aplyn to a desktop also?

Keyboard repeat rates are set in the platform BIOS.
