Keyboard problem

Hello,

at least with a HP iPAQ 111 or 114 (both 100 series) with Windows Mobile
6 and CF 2.0.7045 I can get our application (based on CF 1.0) into the
position where the icon for the on screen keyboard is hidden and can
only be reactivated after taping on the bar at the bottom of the screen.
Very annoying!

This is as follows:
- application with a text box and a button
- tapping the button invokes some check on the textbox contents
- if the check finds some error it raises a message box
- if the message box pops up, the keyboard icon disappears
- if I close the box it normally reappears

But:
If I click around in some settings pages in start/settings before
tapping on the button of my app. I can get the keyboard icon to
permanently disappear after closing that message box. Even if I'm still
in the textbox!

My app. appeard 3 times in the memory applet/running programs, has it to
do with that? but I can't reproduce the problem (at least reliably) on
another WM 6.0 device with the same CF version.

Another problem: why oh MS is it so hard to provide a website on MSDN
with a complete table with the following columns:

- name of the CF version, e.g. V1.0, V1.0 SP3...
- release date
- exact build number
- supported OS

What I'm most missing is the exact build number. HP coludn#t tell me
today which SP of CF 2.0 the 2.0.7045 build is. They said I've the
newest CF version on my device, but since 3.5 is already availabel
that's wrong, isn't it?

Greetings

Markus

Hello,

thanks for your answer, but:

a) your table is not complete as the release date is missing and it only
tells on which plattform it was shipping but not which ones (e.g.
older ones) it supports.

b) I still think MS should provide such a table in MSDN instead of
several incomplete articles. This simply looks soo bad!

Greetings

Markus
