keyboard problem

Hello, I was hoping somebody could help me out. On my keyboard at home the
shift keys do not work. Neither one. When you press it you get a beep, like
an error beep, if you hold it down it keeps on beeping just like if you were
holding a key and it started to repeat the letter. I tried uninstalling and
reinstalling the drivers but that didn't work. All the other keys seem to
work fine. Once before the sticky keys were stuck so I redid the drivers shut
down and when it came back on the keyboard was fine then about a week later
this all happened. I tried using the XP help & support button and went thru
the troubleshooter but nothing. Any ideas? Thanks.
