Did you mean that your Keyboard Layout is fine but when you press the Shift
Key you didn't get the correct word? Say if you press Shift Key + 2 for @
sign then you get a different sign.
If so, then you need to check your Regional and Languages settings.
1. Click Start - Control Panel - Regional and Languages Options.
2. Click Langauges tab.
3. Click Details button. Check your Default Input Language. In my case, it
is "English (United States) - US" and Keyboard Layout - US.
If you have different settings then change them accordingly.
Hope this is what you are looking for, let us know!
