Keyboard non-responsive

Hi,
When we log in, sooner or later the keyboard packs in. We've tried
plugging other keyboards in but that doesn't seem to help. Also Num Lock and
Caps Lock come on and off randomly, and we occasionally have trouble booting
up the computer. Does anyone know what might be the problem?

Is this a wired or wireless keyboard?

Sorry I didn’t reply earlier! It’s a wired laptop keyboard, Fujitsu
Siemens E Series Lifebook running Windows XP Home.
