keyboard MALFUNCTION

the SPACE bar, PUTS caps ON,

key "y" forces BROWSER to http ADDRESS.

"D" goes TO find.

"T" DOES something ENTIRELY different.

this IS still AFTER clean INSTALL, winxp.
is THIS hardware PROB or SOFTWARE?
THE only WAY to GET "d" KEY TO work IS TO hold "Fn" & "d" At THE same TIME.

Sounds like some sort of alternate keyboard function option on a
notebook/laptop. There's a posibility that the "Fn" key in addition to
one of the function keys would make the keyboard revert to normal
operation. Check you owner's manual if you have one. Some manufacturers
provide software "manuals" on the hard drive.

If you respnd with the specifics of your system make and model, others
with similar hardware might recognize the cause of your problem.

The ribbon connection is fitted the wrong way.
