Can someone please help me. Suddenly out of the blue this afternoon my
keyboard stopped working. Actually it didn't stop working altogether what's
happening right now is when I press certain keys like the letter "R" OR "S"
in lower case windows automatically opens the run into search windows. Does
anybody know how to turn this off. Right now I'm stuck using my voice
recognition software or taking everything in capital letters.

The only thing I can think of it is that I installed the dot net SDK.

Thanks

Sounds like you have a (physically or electronically) stuck key - the
Windows key, from what you're describing (windows key - R opens the "Run"
line, for instance.)

New keyboards run $10 if you can't unstick it.

Actually this is a brand-new keyboard. That is connected to my notebook
computer and even when I disconnect the keyboard and use the notebook
keyboard I still have the same problem. How do I un-stick the windows key
if it is stuck electronically?

Have you tried system restore? start \programs \ accessories \ system
tools.

I know Kelly has a fix to remove the windows key function totally
(conflicts with some games), but I imagine you'd like to get things
back to normal. It's at line 9 "disable the Windows logo key".
