Keyboard got remapped

Hi,
For some strange reason my keyboard keeps getting remapped, for example, I
type a number when I'm actually hitting a letter key. Can't figure out how
this happens since I don't mess with keyboard settings. Apparently, this
only occurs on my user id, all other users on this laptop have no problems.
When I attach an auxiliary keyboard to my laptop, the problem goes away on
the laptop keyboard. Tried looking at settings in control panel but I am not
sure what to look for. I am perplexed. Any insights on this issue would be
most appreciated.
Thanks

Dan

Hi Dan,

It sounds like the NumLock feature is turned on. if the behavior you are seeing effects the m,j,k,l,u,i,o keys that is the
problem. To turn off NumLock, you press the [FN] key with the keypad icon on one of your function key (on my machine for
example, the NumLock toggle is [FN] + [PgUp]).

Ciao . . .
