You forgot to mention which keyboard or which newsreader software?

Most internet type keyboards will have an option to assign specific software
to these function keys.

Does the software which came with your keyboard allow you to change
any to a more-desired shortcut?

You can use a third party program like Winkey. Or put a shortcut on
your desktop or quicklaunch area, then right-click to select a
shortcut key combination.

Ronnie: my keyboard is Microsoft Internet Keyboard Pro
and the software I'm trying to launch is Forte Agent.
thanks for the reply. TomC.

It's a good idea to repeat your problem when you post in case others
can help you. I can tell you the usual target line for Agent is
c:\program files\agent\agent.exe

Start - Control Panel - Keyboard - and I think the tab is called remap (I don't bother to install the software so I don't see the tab)
