keyboard and mouse locking up

recently, my keyboard and mouse began randomly locking up. I have tried a
system restore back to a time prior to this happening but that has not
stopped the problem. There is nothing indicated in the event logs either.
After restore, I did get a message saying that 'Windows has finished
installing new devices'. Any suggestions?

Probably not in a .NET programming discussion group, but you can find an
appropriate Windows group this way.

In the tree on the left, first open the English category, then open Windows.
In Windows, find and open the category for your version of Windows.
There, you'll find a group to post your question.
