key button for word spacing in sentences. my shift key is not wor.

the shift key in my computer is not working properly. instead of shifting
the words that i typed to give spaces, it is delecting the words

I'm not sure what connection there is between the Shift key and spaces; it
sounds as if perhaps you're referring to the spacebar? If so, press the
Insert key (or double-click OVR in the status bar) to switch from overtype
mode back into insert mode.
