I believe they went straight from 2 to 4 to avoid the constant confusion
over Kerio and Tiny. When Tiny went it's own way, the next version of it
was Tiny Personal Firewall 3.
I believe, unless Kerio 4 gets much better, that you will want to stay with
2.1.5. Kerio 4 has been a boondoggle from it's enception. Buggy to an
extreme. Also, the interface seems to be designed to mimic Zone Alarm. A
lot of user control and customizability is missing as well.
I don't know why people automatically think that "new is better." From what
I've seen of Kerio 4, it's a step backwards. I also understand it will not
be free.
