Kelly's Fix wanted for...

  • Thread starter Thread starter Ratan Maitra
  • Start date Start date
They represent different sizes and no there shouldn't be two listed as for
the space you probably ran TweakUI and if so, it has been written wrongly
and produces the space. Raymond has been notified and will correct it as
soon as he is able to.

Thanks a lot...Kelly...I knew you wouldn't give up so easily :o))

I have re-downloaded both the edits mentioned by you.

Just as clarification for my own understanding, I presently find that
there
are now 2 "BagMRU Size" entries for both "Shell" and "ShellNoRoam"...

"Bag MRU Size"=dword:000001f4
"BagMRU Size"=dword:000007d0

Should there be two sub-keys...one with a space between Bag and MRU, and
the
other with no space, with different dword values??
Should I delete the one with space between Bag and MRU before or after
applying the edits??

The entry....

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explor
er]
"NoSaveSettings"=dword:00000000

is presently NOT there...though the other entries of the "Play All" edit
regarding

"PerceivedType"="audio" for .mp3,.wav and .wma are already there under

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\

I am waiting for your comments before applying the edits.

Thanks a lot for your time.
My Best Wishes

Follow up: This is what worked...

Increase Folder View Options Limit: (Line 2)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Or the edit on line 327 (right hand side)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad
by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.

Thanks a lot Kelly for the information...

Best wishes....till the next problem <G> !!!

No Kelly....You can't give up so easily... :o((

Sorry to hear that, good luck and keep us posted. :o)

I would suggest; however, in the meantime to perhaps post in one of
the
WMP
groups, they may have the answer for you.

Thanks a lot Kelly...but no luck.

Even after applying the edit, "All play" still doesn't function,
neither
for
audio nor video.

Any other ideas??

As I have a lot of 'players' installed, it could be that the link can't
find
the path to the default player to play, as there appears to be a
lot
of
background activity on clicking 'Play all" before giving up !!!

I have selected all file type association with WMP 9, but still no
improvement.
How do I check the file path for 'All play' link??

Thanks
