keeping a subreport label and subreport together

Is there anything I can do to insure that a subreport label will always
print on the same page as it's subreport?

I'm referring to the label that appears in the upper left above the
subreport control in design view, that the wizard creates when you imbed a
subreport in a report. this isn't a label I that was created separately
from the subreport control. I would have thought there would be a way to
keep the label on the same page as the subreport, or at least the top of the
subreport. I looked carefully through all the properties of the label,
however, and can't find anything that looks like it will accomplish this.

Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Thanks in advance.

Put the subreport into its own section on the main report, with its label.
Set the KeepTogether property of this section to Yes, and it will print with
its label.

This example assues the subreport is currently in the detail section.

1. Open the main report in design view.

2. Open the Sorting And Grouping dialog (View menu).

3. Select the primary key field, and in the lower pane of the dialog, enter
Yes beside Group Footer. Access adds the section below the detail section.

4. Right-click the grey bar representing this new section, and choose
Properties. Set Keep Together to Yes.

5. Drag the subreport from the Detail section into the new group footer
section.

6. Reduce the height of the Detail section (where the subreport was).

Thanks so much for the detailed explanation, Allen. This is a great help to
me.
