Keeping a Distribution list blind

How, in Outlook 2002, do I make a Distribution list where the recipients are
BCC?

I mean, when I send a message to the group, it says the name of the people
in the To: line, all listed with their email addresses. How do I make it
where it doesn't show their email address?

Assuming you already have your distribution list, just put the list in the
BCC filed in Outlook, and recipients will only see their own E-mail address.

Of course, you still need to have somebody in the TO field to send the
E-mail to, so youe either need someone who is happy to have their name for
all to see, or simply just send it to yourself as the recipients in the BCC
list will already have your E-mail address any anyway (My prefered option).

The only other way is to use a dedicated Group mailing program such as Group
Mail Pro, but this may be overkill, as most people can use the method above.

Um, no you don't. No address is required in the To field, as long as there
is an address in either the Cc or Bcc field.

Not quite true anymore - some ISPs are banning BCC only email unless there
is a valid mail in the TO or CC field. It will become more common I bet,
rather than less.

reading.

That's not Outlook's issue, however. Nothing in Outlook requires a
recipient address in the To or Cc fields, and that's the thrust of my prior
post.
