KB940510 sounds fishy to me..

This is suppose be the patch that checks for the two cuurent activation
cracks, date and OEM, I think MS is doing this prior to SP1 to minimize
chaos as most cracked Vista would be identified before the final SP1 launch
 
IOW I don't need it; I have an OEM (HP) version of Home Premium.
Right after I posted, I read a thread here re: someone not being able
to boot. What gives?
