KB933729 Install error

When installing this patch I receive the following errors in the error log
although it does appear in add/remove programs. I get this on serveral XP
SP2 workstations. I appreaciate any feedback. Thanks

Apparently, after checking here:

The update.ver file needed to check the files' Versions is either not
present or, can not be read.
My KB933729.log only shows 2 of those lines. The one you posted, quite a
bit more:

Has anyone and/or a 'clean up' program deleted content from
C:\WINDOWS\$hf_mig$ ?

It *may* also be related to security software preventing the reading of
content from $hf_mig$
