I am having trouble with KB928366, for .net1.1

I have followed the instructions for an answer I got yesterday, which
suggested I remove .net1.1 and then reinstall it.

I cant remove it because it says that the "installation source is not
available" and it wont install using the download, saying "installation
failed contact the supplier"

Any idea what I should try next

Google for .NET framework 1.1 , d/l and save , ( do not *open * ) then
install .
