KB wakes PC from hibernation...

....which I have just discovered and don't like. Any idea how to change
that, ...I'm guessing it's in bios but, having fought long and hard in the
past, (with lots of help from angels in here, particularly Paul if memory
serves), to get ACPI settings, ...and a APC 650 UPS / basic
signalling-serial lead etc. working in a predictable fashion, ...i.e. don't
want to upset anything !

There's an option for standby; maybe it also works with the hibernation
feature. In Device Manager, double click on your keyboard, click on "Power
Management," and uncheck "Allow this device to bring the computer out of
standby".

The setting would be in the BIOS>Power Menu, and usually under
the APM heading. Changing the keyboard power up setting won't
interfere with your ACPI setting. The wakeup from standby setting
in XP won't work, because in hibernation the PC is shut down. In
standby the PC is still powered on, but the drives and CPU are
stopped.
