Kazaa?

just got my new system.

one of my friend suggested me to use Kazaa Lite
saying that it is best source for getting music and free stuff..

how safe is it to use it?
by the way i have antivirus.. firewall installed on my system

It is very UNSAFE, it has spyware in it. They will collect personal data from
your computer and follow your pc usage. If you buy the Kazaa program they
tell you it has no spyware. I don't trust them.

Kazaa Lite is different from Kazaa, someone's took an old version of Kazaa
and hacked the spyware out of it. It's safe, but it's hard to find since I
don't think they make it anymore.

Try eMule maybe. There is no spyware in eMule, but it's harder to get it
setup right.

Forget Kazaa and all its horrid little spyware things, get yourself WinMX or
Limewire. Much better and safer.

I agree whole-heartedly. WinMX is the way to go...totally free of spyware
and adware. Every version of Kazaa I tried would install some sort of Adware
or Spyware.
